This is an introduction to a restored relic of a bygone age, namely the pier at Bangor, North Wales. All the photographs were taken by me during a visit a few years ago when I stayed in a house overlooking the pier and relived memories of my time as a student at the nearby University.
Treborth Botanic Garden in Gwynedd, North Wales is situated beside the Menai strait and at just two miles from Bangor is a delightful hidden pleasure, I say hidden as many people go over Menai Bridge each day and don’t even realise it’s there.
This is a lovely piece on the fabulous countryside of Wales journeying through Snowdonia and covering many areas of this dynamic country. I was fortunate to spend 5 nights and days crossing and this is my experience.
