Writings from my weekend of travel

My reunion was back in, or very near, my hometown. This is about 250 mi south of where I live in Atlanta. Then, I went on to Savannah where I stayed with a friend on Wilmington Island, then got up and played at a new client facility in Sav, where I hope to be a regular return entertainer.

The day, and the trip, begins

Well my friends the time has come, raise the roof and have some fun.
Throw away the work to be done, let the music play on, play on.
I must leave to make my way, to the south where I may say
Hello to family and friends today, set up my gear and
Sing on, sing on. Lots of travel ahead, y'all be good
To one another, do good deeds to kith and kin.
I give you blessings, it's a NEW DAY!

"New Friends, Good Times" by Jerry E Smith 10/25/15

Sometimes, new friends can seem like you’ve known them for
Many years. Tonight, I sat in and played one song; ”The
Leader of the Band” by Fogelberg, on the stage at a
Restaurant on Wilmington Island, between Tybee
And Savannah. Some of my family goaded me
Into playing it (and others) last night after the
Majority had left the reunion. I was able to
Hit high notes that I thought were long
Gone, but that gave me a boost of
Confidence. It is still rather high
For me, but it is also a great
Song with a lot personal of
Meaning for me. Good
Times. Now, on to
Tomorrow.

"Even a little change, in the right direction, is a good one" by Jerry E Smith, 10/23/15

If you feel you are in a desert, of any kind, at any given moment, all you
Really need to do, is stop and look around. If you have the heart and
Mind to see it, there is beauty everywhere. The sheer variety and
Complexity of the lands and oceans on our ‘little blue marble’, is
Totally astounding! Life and beauty everywhere you look, and
That, is a good thing. I feel that we *are* reaching a tipping
Point, with all the deforestation, species extinctions and
Loss of habitat, but our world often has shown it’s very
Resilient, but who is to say that after the next ‘reset’
We’ll still be around to enjoy it? If we don’t change
Our ways, it may be too late… for us at least.
Seven Billion little steps in the right way,
Are a potent force for good, for change.
BE the change, even a little one.

"A Foggy Morning on the coast" by Jerry E Smith 10/26/15

A foggy morning on the coast, a dreary start to the day.
In hopes that the time will pass with good outcomes,
I have some things to say. It is always possible, it
Is always a very good deed, to give of yourself
And give of your time, to those who you meet.
Share a smile, a joke and some laughter too;
You will be surprised to find how much
These things will benefit you. I must
Away now, to get prepared for my
Day, where I will spread my own
Bit of cheer and sunshine, on
This dreary start of day.

I have no interest in 'meeting you in person' miss Anna. You are thousands of miles away across an entire ocean (if your message is to be believed)
This is the second time you've spammed my post with this exact same message. I have reported it both times.
Thanks.
