Must See Wildlife in National Parks

Wildlife in National Parks are some of the best and most beautiful sights that Mother Nature has to offer both locals and visitors. It is common to see cats and dogs, among other domestic animals, at the expense of the wild species due to the ever increasing illegal logging in the Amazon forest and trees being replaced with modern skyscrapers. Today, squirrels are domesticated and the wildest of experiences from mother nature comes from the colorful red robin or blue jay.

National Parks are found in various remote areas across the globe, where visitors get to see different species of wildlife. Although the list of wildlife that can be seen in the National Parks is endless, these are the 5 greatest National Parks globally with some of the best wildlife that are a must see.

The Serengeti National Park in Tanzania
The Serengeti National Park found in Tanzania is home to the great wildebeest migration that occurs every year in July. Other animals that can be found in this National Park include gazelles, zebras and the Big Five that comprises of Buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, lions and elephants. The Maasai Mara National Park in Kenya also takes part in the annual migration of the wildebeest, which is one of the 7 Wonders of the World.

The Torres del Paine National Park in Chile
This National Park is home to green forests, glaciers, rivers, lakes and mountains, in addition to over 100 specifies of wildlife comprising of guanacos or llamas, exotic birds, huemul (a deer species) and the pumas.

The Galapagos National Park in Ecuador
The Galapagos National Park is home to a range of islands, deemed the most endemic and distinct to this specific place. Some of the wildlife found in this Park include the Galapagos penguin (the only kind of penguins found in this part of the globe), sea lions, tortoises, and iguanas. The Galapagos finches assisted Charles Darwin in his theorization of the process of Natural Selection.

The Kruger National Park in South Africa
Known for its classic safari tours, the Kruger National Park based in S.A is visited by thousands annually. Measuring about 4.9 million acres, the National Park is home to hundreds of wildlife species unique to this locality, in addition to the Big Five animals. Baboons, antelopes, hyenas, cheetahs, monkeys, and mongooses, among other animals, call this Park home.

The Yellowstone National Park in the United States of America
Known for the Old Faithful, which is a geyser that erupts every 35 to 120 minutes to last 1 1/2 to 5 minutes, the Yellowstone National Park in the U.S is very famous and popular amongst Americans and foreign visitors. Unlike other geysers, the Old Faithful is more predictable and frequent in eruptions, hence its name.

Despite this fact, there are several must see wildlife in this National Park. The wildlife consists of the buffaloes, black bears, elk and grizzly bears, among several others.
