What San Sebastian stunning city offers us

Day spas for the benefit of body, mind and soul are trendy nowadays on a seaside resort. One may think that they're far too expensive or that some of them caught up on such a trend, aren't worth the expense.
Some people will claim that it's a trivial thing to do on these days when there're many people that can't even afford the basics in their daily living.
Yet, it's important to treat us to something once in while if we can afford it.
San Sebastian city is one of the pearls on the north of Spain and this is exactly what this famous day spa is called.
They don't provide for accommodation as this is a day spa.
The weekend when we went there, we booked for one of their beauty and relaxing treatments. We swam in their heated sea water pool (photograph included) and we relaxed, indulging on the view of their beach called La Concha.
Afterwards, we strolled around in this stunning city, watching the sea bathing the city centre as well as delighting in the bars and taverns of the old area nearby the docks. San Sebastian is the city that has the most good chefs and, therefore, it's the place for the gourmet whether it's to enjoy a full menu in their famed restaurants or to have a variety of tapas, or ''pintxos'', as they call tapas over there displayed on the counters for everyone to pick them up. On paying, they'll ask you for the sticks of every tapa one will have had.
San Sebastian city has few interesting events to offer, depending on the time one goes there. One of them will be the International Film Festival in September and one will be able to see some of the most famous actors and actresses that attend it as well as being able to view the films that will be on the screens shortly after the festival.
On January 20th, it's Saint Sebastian's Day, which is the patron saint of the city and, therefore, there's always a big festival during which people will parade in their ancient costumes and with drums, commemorating the time when San Sebastian city defeated Napoleon's troops.
What they call the Big Week is a Summer festival during which there'll be their international Jazz festival with performances in squares and in different venues as well as the international fireworks contest.
Times are hard. No doubt about it. However, if one can still afford a break away, a treatment in their popular day spa called La Perla to stroll in this magnificent northern city, enjoying their gastronomy and partaking in whatever is on, will be what our body, mind and soul need.
Don't they say that we can't love or care for others if we don't do something for ourselves?
