Why not take a visit to Chessington World of Adventures with the family this summer. It's a great day out. Here is what I got up to when I visited there recently.

Chessington World of Adventures is a theme park that I visited recently with my family. We went on a Sunday and had a fun day out. There are lots of thrilling rides, roller coasters and there is a zoo.

This year Chessington World of Adventures are giving 2 for 1 vouchers away. You can get these vouchers by buying tesco brand foods in Tesco supermarkets in the UK. It is a cheaper way of getting into the theme park. One adult pays and the other gets in free. Young children can also get if they are under 0.9 meters tall!

In the picture above, my son and his friend went on a roller coaster that is pretty scary and fast. I went on it earlier in the day and I can tell you it was shocking! I don't usually like roller coasters like this, but I was brave enough to try it.

Roller Coasters

You can see from the picture above that this roller coaster is very high up and it has steep drops that really can scare you!

My son went on this twice. He had no fear!

There are other rides like the water log ride where you get wet. There is also the Vampire ride that is a very fast ride and ultimately very scary!

There are some nice rides too. I went on the wheel that is high up. The views are amazing and you can see the whole park below you. It is a slow and leisurely ride.

There is, also, the bubble works ride that is very entertaining for a family with young children.

Also, there is a new ride where you can shoot at stuff and try to get a really high score. Kids love this ride!

There are many eating places inside the park. We had a brilliant lunch out in a chicken restaurant. The food was delicious. My son (picture above), found a noodle place. He loves noodles, so he bought some to take away. He enjoyed them and said they were very tasty.

You can, also, buy hot sugary donuts, slush puppies, pancakes and other sweet stuff in the park. You can even enjoy eating many of your favorite foods!

Chessington Zoo

There is, also, a zoo with Chessington World of Adventures. You can see gorillas, tigers, lions, monkeys, spiders, fish, penguins and more in the zoo area. So, there is plenty to enjoy for the whole family and the kids will love the animals.

In the gorillas section, there was a mother gorilla holding her baby (picture above). It was amazing to watch this gorilla family living there together and the mother protecting her baby!

There are, also, shows going on throughout the day. Some take place in the animal area. They are very enjoyable for the family.

When we were there, we saw a penguin show. It was very entertaining and lots of fun to watch!

So, if you are thinking of having a day out with the family consider going to Chessington World of Adventures. The park is in Surrey off the M25 at junction 9.

Kids under 0.9 meters get in for free and adult prices paid at the gate are £39.60, but if you have the 2 for 1 voucher one adult will get in for free. Buying tickets online in advance are cheaper. Adults pay online £27.76 per person if booking in advance. If there are more than seven adults in your group then tickets paid online will be £23.76 per person, but this works out more expensive than bringing along a 2 for 1 voucher at the gate!

If I was able to go there I think I'd stick with the zoo! Feels safer.
