Distillery District is one fo the most interesting neighbourhoods in Toronto.

Distillery Neighbourhood Toronto

Located just east of downtown Toronto, the Distillery District boasts remarkable history and a National Historic Site status. It was founded thanks to the start of the Gooderham and Worts Distillery in the second quarter of the 19th century. It eventually became to be known as the biggest distillery in the British Empire, covering roughly 13 acres and supplying millions of gallons of spirits in the 1800s. The moment after closing, Distillery District developed into one of the most admired filming settings in the country of Canada and persists to be used for that purpose. Right at the start of the 21st century a Toronto company acquired the land eager to preserve its historical value and in the same time presenting a wonderful new spot to Toronto’s residents and visitors. The District was made public in the year 2003 as a spectacular neighbourhood for pedestrians only. Nowadays the area is commonly held as one of the country’s chief culture, arts and entertainment locations, buzzing with imagination and creative folk.

If you’re looking for a wide range of places for going out to dinner, teashops and a superior shopping district, the former industrial compound is a place for you. Torontonian artists, Canadian artists, but also artists from around the world display their masterpieces in a profusion of art galleries and artists’ studios, which you can pay a visit to in the Distillery. Live music lovers will also find a number of tremendous performing arts spots. Shopping at the former industrial zone is an utterly different experience than shopping in a conventional shopping centre, just take a strollthrough the pedestrian-only neighbourhood and you’ll find out! Put franchises, chains or traditional mall stores out of your mind; locate a number of the city’s best, most exciting, and prize-winning retailers, shops and boutiques offering limited products and commodities made in different parts of the world. Can you think of a more suitable location in Toronto to get something exclusive for yourself, your household or your family?

Snatch a quick snack from a fast-food restaurant or taste the best local and international cuisine in many matchless restaurants. Whether you’re a vegetarian, a vegan, a meat eater, an Asian-food-lover or you’re on a gluten-free diet, you’ll discover only the best in planned and spontaneous dining. The many prize-winning restaurants in the area will provide any character you prefer without trade-offs. In hot weather, enjoy your snack on one of the many acclaimed verandas. All these characteristics make Distillery District Real Estate a supreme neighbourhood to buy a property!
