These are top 3 cities in Croatia you should visit if you are planning a holiday trip to Croatia.

Intro

Croatia is one of the best holiday destinations in the world, thanks to its seaside cities that have beautiful beaches and great scenery. Whether you are looking to have a quiet vacation, or planning for an activity-filled holiday, the country's coastline will offer you plenty of options that will make your stay worthwhile. Rich in history and alive with robust culture, Croatia is simply an amazing travel destination for anyone yearning for new and amazing experiences. These are the top three seaside holiday destinations in the country:

Split

Split is a combination of the ancient and the modern. From buildings that are centuries old to modern shopping centers, the city stands as one of the most intriguing places to visit. It's located in central Dalmatia and is the second largest city in Croatia. It has a wonderful climate for the better part of the year. The city has been aptly dubbed "The Mediterranean Flower" because of this. International visitors can get into Split through Split Airport which has scheduled flight services to many major European cities. Traveling around the city can be done by bus, bike or taxi. It's seen as a transport hub because it connects most of the nearby islands. There are a lot of fun things to do in the city such as swimming and sunbathing on the beach at Bačvice, touring some of the historical sites such as Diocletian Palace and Jupiter's Temple, engaging in water sports, and sampling the local cuisine as well as the nightlife. One can also take part in a blue cave tour from Split. There are legitimate tour firms that offer travel packages for this. While in the city, avoid striptease clubs because they are a trap for tourists.

Rijeka

This is the main seaport of Croatia and also it's third largest city. It's found on Kvarner Bay which is an inlet of the Adriatic Sea. It's difficult to travel directly to the city by air, and so many visitors connect to it from cities such as Split. Rijeka has great historical sites to visit and explore. Some of these include Sanctuary of the Madonna, the torpedo factory and the Roman arch. The city is charming with a rich culture, wonderful nightlife and great festivals. It hosts the Rijeka International Carnival that takes place every year before Lent. There are not many hotel options so a lot of people find accommodation in Opatija which is nearby.

Pula

Pula is a seafront city found on the tip of Istrian Peninsula. It has plenty of Roman architecture which makes it stand out from the other big cities of Croatia. It's famous for it's secured harbor and long coastline with several beaches and clear seawater. At the center of the city stands a well-maintained Roman amphitheater which also acts as a venue for festivals and concerts during the summer. The city's coast has numerous resorts and holiday villas, making it an ideal summer holiday destination. A lot of people travel around Pula by bus and like Rijeka, the main airport is not a major destination for international flights.
