Paris is the capital of France, and one of Europe's finest cities. Many visit Paris for its fantastic monuments, art galleries, and of course the Eiffel Tower which is undoubtedly France's most prominent land-mark. As such, there are some great places to visit in this city, and these are a few of them.

The Eiffel Tower

As mentioned, the Eiffel Tower is probably France's most famous landmark. Where ever you are in Paris this 1,000 ft iron tower is usually visible. As such, it's easy to find and provides fantastic views of surrounding Paris. Aside from the fantastic views, the Eiffel Tower epic tour and the Cineiffel with its cinema auditorioum and film animations are also worth noting on the first floor. Who says you even have to make the first floor? Even at ground level some of the surrounding parkland and gardens can also be worth a trip.

The Louvre

The Louvre is a famous art gallery located in Paris. Its glass pyramids provide the entrance to one of the most fantastic art galleries and museums in France and beyond. While the Louvre's most famous painting is the Renaissance masterpiece of the Mona Lisa, you can be sure to find plenty of art at this gallery. In actual fact, the Louvre is said to have approximately 35,000 works found in eight departments such as for paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, Islamic art, Greek antiquities, prints and drawings and more besides. As such, its a fascinating collection. Given this, it can be easy to overlook the great gardens that also surround the Louvre gallery such as the The Carrousel and Tuileries Gardens and also The Carrousel Arc de Triomphe which is near to the Louvre pyramids.

Disneyland Paris

Sometimes overlooked can be Disneyland Paris. Visit the Magic Kingdom when in Paris to find the world's most famous mouse of Micky Mouse plus other famous Disney stars such as Woody the Cowboy, Buzz Light Year, and Snow White. Alternatively the Walt Disney Studios Park is also nearby. More recently Disneyland Paris has been introducing new generation festivals celebrating the more recent hit Disney films such as Toy Story. Notre Dame

The Gothic Cathedral of Notre Dame is famous cathedral located beside the River Seine. At the cathedral you can climb Notre Dame towers at the western facade. Or alternatively, just tour the cathedral at ground level.

Thanks for sharing this article. I would love to go to Paris, France. I'm not sure where I would like to visit first. All these sites sound wonderful. I do love art though so Louvre might be my first stop. I would most likely spend hours there. It would be the trip of a lifetime.
