Beautiful Colombo Harbour.

Colombo is the capital city of Sri Lanka. It has many attractive destinations including the beautiful harbour in the city.

Surrounded by water.

The city of Colombo is surrounded by water on three sides. The Indian Ocean surrounds the beautiful city from different sides.


The Harbour is involved in trade and commerce. A lot of cargo ships come to Sri Lanka and bring cargo which is received in the harbour.

Galle Face Green.

Gale Face Green is an important destination in Colombo city around which a lot of economic activity takes place in Sri Lanka.

Galle Face Green.

The Galle Face Green is a five hectare huge ocean park created at the shores of the Indian ocean. It was used for horse racing at one point of time.

In 1859, the Governor Sir Henry George Ward led the promenade in Galle Face Green in the capital city of Colombo, Sri Lanka.


When the Dutch ruled Sri Lanka they decorated Galle Face Green as a Cannon corridor to prevent Portuguese ships from invading Colombo.


On weekends travellers from different destinations India, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand come to Galle Green and use the space for tourist purposes.


There are lot of important meetings which take place in the office area of Colombo. The vehicles are parked across the shores of the city.

Famous hotels.

The Galle Face Hotel and the Ceylon Inter-continental Hotel are situated on the opposite side of Galle Face Green.

Radio Ceylon

Radio Ceylon and Srilankan Broadcasting Corporation, one of the old Broadcasters of South Asia operated from Galle Face Green.

Sea Waters.

The sea waters lash on to the shore. There are a lot of man-made constructions around the shores of Colombo.

December and January are the best months to visit Sri Lanka.
