This is the information about the Kathmandu with all the Sightseeing place in Katmandu.

Culture cities Kathamdnu

Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal and frequently called "The Gateway to Nepal" and "Gateway of Mount Everest". When anyone who's come to Nepal thinks of Kathmandu, the first impression that he carries on his head is the temples of Kathmandu and its own rich culture. Pashupatinath, Boudhanath Stupa, Swyambhunath temple (frequently called Monkey temple), Changunarayan will be the world heritage sites of Kathmandu that are at the memories of thousands of tourist who have visited Nepal. The greatest Hindu shrine, Pashupatinath, situated in the eastern part of Kathmandu attracts thousands of tourists each year. Spectacular stupas like Swyambhunath and Boudhanath would keep any peace buff spellbound and surrender into the symbol of peace and take mesmerizing experience back.

Now I would love to scratch some background behind Kathmandu valley. Nobody would ever feel this gorgeous city was once a great lake and Swyambhunath, a floating lotus. A Chinese warrior named Manjushree came to Nepal to see the Swyambhunath. It looked like a lotus floating around the lake. He then drained the water out of Kathmandu by cutting mountain in Chobhar with his sword. Kathmandu valley is thought to have got its name from imposing pagoda Kasthamandap in Hanuman Dhoka.

Nepal is a country of great culture and customs. Believe it or not below are just 3 million festivals and religions more than there are days annually. So, if you are in Kathmandu on any month in a year, you'd definitely want to check the festival on the market. It is a good deal of fun.

Pashupatinath is the greatest tourist destination. Though on the primary temple just the Hindus are permitted to enter there are several interesting things in Pashupatinath that can make your trip worthy. Monkeys, dears, amazing pigeons could be viewed around Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath is a temple of God Shiva. You can find lot of devotees together with the ash put around their body and smoking weeds. Pashupatinath is located on the bank of holy river Bagmati. On the bank of Bagmati River you may see the cremation service. IN Hindu civilization, when there is death of any individual, then they are burnt and at last the ashes are flown into the Bagmati River which will ultimately hit the Holy River Ganges. This is quite an intriguing culture of Hindus which you can witness in Nepal as well as the burial service of different religions and civilization.

When you are in Kathmandu you wouldn't need to miss the chance to observe the sunrise in Nagarkot. The golden color cloud together with the sunrise makes you feel as though you are in Heaven along with the spectacular view of Mount Everest makes your visit million dollar one. I'd strongly urge get yourself to Nagarkot, one of the premier hill stations, where you will discover a hotel for virtually any budget and preference. It's not really tricky to get to Nagarkot. You are able to book a cab or take the daily tourist bus which transports from Thamel at 7 am regular in tourist season and on demand out of year. A great view of mountains, one of the Nepal's biggest attractions can be enjoyed on a clear day. The best time of year to view striking views of the mountains is from September through to February. When you are returning from Nagarkot I would advise that you to trek down throughout the hillside Tamang Villages to Changunarayan, the oldest and among the loveliest temples in the Kathmandu Valley. The entry fee is only 70 rupees.

Thamel, Narayanhiti national museum, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Rani Pokhari, Dharahara are several other intriguing places which are within a 2km radius, therefore I hope you would you can go to these places with no difficulty. Thamel is the collecting point of Tourists in Nepal where I believe each tourist will proceed as soon as they go to Kathmandu. Here it is possible to witness as many tourists as native people. You may get some great restaurants and good hotels for your lodging in Thamel. It is worth visiting in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu Durbar Square is another tourist place where you must definitely go whenever you are in Nepal. It seems like there was a competition of placing as many temples and big museums at the smallest area possible. I would advise taking a rickshaw (three wheeler bike) and wander around the place. You are able to stay on the top of one of those temples and just watch the actions on active city as well.

If you want to go for Trekking out of Kathmandu, it is simply to visit any popular Trekking Company websites such as Everest Base Camp Trek,Annapurna Trekking Circuit, and Manaslu Trekking etc.If you would like to see Mount Everest, then you need to have a mountain flight from Kathmandu ,which almost 1 Hrs and back to Kathamdnu .
