The article speaks about the great hindu philosophy preached by the enlightened one Swami Vivekananda whose sermons are carried forward by RK Missions all across the world.

Swami Vivekananda.

Swami Vivekananda, one of the great monks and hindu philosophers had believed in the morals and customs of Vedanta and Yoga and preached it to the outside world.

Chicago conference.

In the Chicago conference in USA in 1893, Swami Vivekananda had preached Indian philosophy in the Parliament of religions.

Hindu philosophy.

Swami vivekananda gave a new dimension to the hindu philosophy. He mentioned as different streams which had their sources at different places go a and mix in the sea, in the same way the different paths of life and the different faiths that the human beings follow also reach to the Almighty God.

Cyclonic monk from India.

When the audience in the international parliament of religions heard Swami Vivekananda they got flabbergasted and designated him as the cyclonic monk from India.

Enlightened one.

Swami Vivekananda, after reaching to the different corners of India and doing meditation at different parts became the enlightened one. In the International parliament of religions he said the following about Almighty power " "Whosoever comes to Me, through whatsoever form, I reach him; all men are struggling through paths that in the end lead to Me."

Ramakrishna Mission.

The Ramakrishna Mission in different parts of India and different parts of the world carry forward the tenets of great Swami Vivekananda and his spiritual guru Sri Sri Ramakrishna Parabhangshadeb.

Vivekananda rock Memorial.

The vivekananda rock memorial at Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu in India restores the place of meditation where Swami Vivekananda had meditated in late 1892.

Birth anniversary.

The birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda every year on 12th January is celebrated as national youth day. He had given the invitation to the youth of the country to come up and get involved in noble deeds. The nation requires their contribution.

Swami Vivekananda

Swami Vivekananda had always been an optimist. He had told the youth never lose faith in oneself. The failures like the hidden sky overcast by clouds. The moment the clouds get cleared, the sun comes out and success will definitely come one day.

First Ramakrishna Mission.

Swami Vivekananda founded the first Ramakrishna Mission in Baranagar Math. It was after the death of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramhangshadeb. The rent of Baranagar math was cheap and Swami Vivekananda and the other disciples of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramhanghsadeb did the funding by Madhukari, holy begging.

Belur Math

In 1893, the title Swami Vivekananda was given to Narendranath Dutta by Ajit Singh, the Maharaja of Khetri. In the year 1899, Baranagar Math was transferred to Belur Math, which is one of the holy maths visited by numerous pilgrims all over the world beside river Ganges.

In the Parliament of religions in chicago in 1893, after hearing Swami Vivekananda, the New York critique quoted "He is an orator by divine right, and his strong, intelligent face in its picturesque setting of yellow and orange was hardly less interesting than those earnest words, and the rich, rhythmical utterance he gave them."

Swami Vivekananda's philosophy was followed by eminent Indians including Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Jatin Mukherjee, Rishi Aurobindo, to name a few.

Thanks Souvik-ji for bringing such an inspirational leader here. It is time we practiced the basic teachings of such great saints - in fact, all paths lead to the same destination. The world will be different if our leaders pledged - purity, patience and perseverance than hyperbole, hypocrisy and threats - siva

Dear Sivaji, I am touched by your words. in fact Swami Vivekananda came and gave a new dimension to Vedanta and hindu Philosophy, instead of making the path more procedure oriented he spoke about yoga, meditation, serving of mankind and work of the youth the requirement of the nation.

I will show this article to a friend and ask her opinion of the piece. In some ways it is very long and easy to take too lightly some of the points that is very important to the Hindu way of life.
