Summer in London: What to Do?

You might be wondering what the top tips are for spending a summer in London. There is so much to do and see. You further break things down by what you like to do and who is in your party. Are you going alone, with friends, or is it a family vacation with the kids? Well, the following are some tips that can help you have a fantastic summer in London.

Touring Is A Way Around

There are plenty of tours available for you to take while you're vacationing in London. Some are day trips around certain areas, while others you can customize, seeing the sights you want to see in a matter of hours or an entire day. Often with these tours you can get access to areas that would otherwise be inaccessible to you. Did you want to see Stonehenge in the morning or at sunset from inside the circle itself? Some tours you can do just that, and away from the regular crowded tour groups. A personal guide can also help you out with all these things and more. Although they can be expensive, tours are a valuable key for access and information about the places you want to visit.

Learn What Costs and What Is Free

Vacations are expensive; there is no doubt about that. Even if you're on an economy budget, it is still expensive. Before you even take your flight, it's a really good idea to map out your trip. Figure out what you want to see and do while you're there. Check your budget to see what things you can work in for free, and what you'll have to pay for. Believe it or not, there are free attractions that you can take advantage of that are a lot of fun not only for you, but your whole family as well. Check out The Royal Parks or Hyde Park, which has lots of kid-friendly activities. There are also festivals for music, cultural themes, and carnivals, several of which are free. One such is the Notting Hill Carnival in West London. This takes place during the August Bank Holiday. That Sunday is a free children's day.

What If It Rains?

You're likely aware already that London has a more than fair acquaintance with rain. This is ok because there are plenty of things to do in London that are indoor activities in case your original plans get rained out. If you have the kids with you, why not take them to Hamleys? This is the most famous toy store in London with 7 floors and has its own cafe so you can grab a bite to eat after you're done shopping. How about taking the kids on the Children's Tour of Television Centre at the BBC studios, or head over to SEA LIFE London Aquarium and check out the over 400 species of sea creatures that are housed there.

There is tons of stuff to do in London in the summer. Plan your trip well and bring your summer clothes and an umbrella just in case. There is a variety of sightseeing and activity opportunities regardless of the weather situation or your budget situation. There is something to fit any person with any style. See you there!
