Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas where one can enjoy the flora and fauna along with devotion.


Srisailam is a temple located in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh State, India Main deity is Lord Shiva who presence can be felt in the temple. People from faroff place do pay a visit to offer their prayers at the feet of Lord Shiva.

There is a river patalganga where one can have a holy bath and have a darshan of Lord Shiva with full devotion. Just adjacent Brahmarambika Temple of Mother Goddess Durga is present. Especially on Monday, Mahasivaratri days people throng to have a look or darshan of Lord Shiva with Mother Goddess Durga. Tuesday and Friday is considered to be auspicious for Mother Goddess.

Temple has got its own beauty sorrounded by mountains, forest range with full of flora and fauna. There are many site seeing places near by Srisailam. Accomodation facilities with full amenities are available for the devotees. Good Tiffins and Meals are also available at nominal rates.

Especially on Mahasivaratri many cultural programmes were conducted by the temple authorities and devotional songs are sung by the artists. The forest belt is very attractive and Srisailam Dam is worth watching in the month of June, July when the monsoon is at full swing.
