A strange event occurred in Cairo, Egypt, on Friday (13/12/2013) then that is the decline in snowfall is quite heavy. This is the first snow that fell after 112 years ago, in the Egyptian capital. Strange, because this area is famous for the hot temperatures and barren desert.

Almost all the white snow covered town

Temperatures in Egypt itself was reported by Cairo's meteorological agency has dropped drastically in the last 2 days before the appearance of snow. It is a terrible winter for the Middle East countries. Recorded temperatures up to 5-15 degrees Celsius.

"This is the first time in many years," said Ali Abdelazim an official meteorological center of Cairo, as reported by AFP.

Almost all the white snow covered the city, for example Medinati, a park in New City, northeast of Cairo. In the Sinai Peninsula was a pile of snow to be seen having a thickness of 1 m. Especially in the mountains around the Monastery of Saint Catherine.

It appears also in the Mediterranean Coast, and local roads City Ras Al-Bar, which is usually dried seemed full of snow-white. For Alexandria, occurs only light snowfall intensity, but the weather is still cold and windy.

What Spinx when it snows in the surrounding area? This photo may be explained to you.

So enthusiastic Egyptians first time experiencing snow, their rollicking upload pictures of snow in Cairo to the various social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Excellent.
