Lord Shri Jagannath is worshipped as the bestower of happiness in one's life. The ancient temple of the Lord can be worth visiting.

Jagannath Temple at Puri draws the special attention of everybody during Rath Yatra. Thousands of people do come to Puri to attend the yatra or procession of Lord Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra. Puri is well connected by Road and Railways. One can get down at Bhubaneshwar Railway Station and can travel by bus to Puri. The seashore attract many tourist from India and Abroad.

There are other temples one can pay a visit. People after having a bath can directly go to the temple to have darshan of Lord Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra. After attending the temple one can collect the Prasad especially the dried rice. One can enjoy the beauty of Sea in the evening hours with family members and friends. It is observed that Puri is one of the important Dham where one can attain salvation. The temple is very old and the cooking pattern of Prasad is worth watching. Everyday various types of items are being served to Lord.
The conch and various items are sold at the bank of the sea were one can collect the same keep it as memory for the future. The boarding and lodging facility is available at a nominal cost. One can enjoy the beauty of the ancient temple in the morning after sun rise. The aarti performed after the puja is excellent. At the time of Rath Yatra Orissa Government takes every possible step to avoid any mishap.

The Lord Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra were taken out in big Chariot or Rath . Again after seven days they come back to the temple. The holiness and spiritual unity which binds every devotee is unexplainable. Devotees sing, dance throughout the lanes while the beautifully decorated chariot or rath is taken out. One can spend some time in the temple and can have mental peace forgetting the rest of the world.
