Time knows no good until you decide to fill it – a very old saying. And it remains old because we think about it now and then. Pastime activities fill our time – and refresh us. Here we are going to see some intriguing places in North India and also, of course, how to fill time.

Introduction

Pastime activities abound in hundreds if not thousands. When the duration of your leisure exceeds the normal day or two, it is time to plan the vacation itinerary. Cheerful tourist spots in North India pave the way for time you can pass with enthusiasm and cheer. Enigmatic places are for those who are brave and...don’t have a better place to go. Better take your family along too...many hands make the porters feel happier. For those who have just a day or two or maybe an hour or so in which they have to bell the cat, sing the song and run a race, here are some exciting pastime activities for the lively breast and quiet things for the sedentary ones.

Pastime activities depends on the season

Hunting season is always exciting...when you have plenty of deer to shoot at. If you miss, make sure there is no one behind the deer, else it will become – Oh dear!

Running along with mood at the moment, let us think what would happen if it is off-season and the only people populating the hunting grounds are the hunters.
Well, actually there is no record to indicate that people were killed with deer pellets but you know! Dead stay dumb! (Sorry, JH Chase). It is the same with the fish. When the fish are busy swimming in another part of the ocean, anglers who venture out to fill their fishing baskets with fish often return with old boots, empty bottles and no fish. They usually have porridge for dinner.

Building up your repertoire

Amazing things happen to those who are wise and witty. When asked to wash the dishes, Mr. Winlow raised the right hand. Now the missus was not really looking and thought that she was being stopped. From what, she could not figure out but she became angry. “You are like a tourist in this house! You never raise your finger to help me!” she began. Mr. Winlow said, “You know, I have been having a tough time ever since I scratched my pointer finger on a thorn in the rose bush”. His voice was plaintive but his attitude was fierce.
Mr. Winlow is always careful with things like that. He pricks his finger every alternate day on the rose bush, hides the hammer away in case he is called to repair anything and generally takes no chances around the house. His pastime activities would puzzle any cat...that was watching him of course.

Leisure time activity

Not everyone wants to become a tourist and begin to wander all over the land and sea. But there are times when you wish you had something to do. Here are some things you can do if you find yourself without anything to do.
a) Figure out how the sunbeam is coming through into the house
b) Determine whether the cat is swishing its tail in anger, as a warning sign or in irritation
c) Spend some time figuring out why they have not manufactured triangular cars yet
d) Repair the broken chair
e) Fix those broken panes in the kitchen window
f) Go fly a kite (seriously – it opens up the mind)
g) Improve your health by eating good food
For the rest of you who have more than a week to spend, I suggest you look up some exciting tourist locations and find someone to finance your trip.

Intriguing family vacation spots for tourists in North India

India has many mysteries; some are not too serious while others really bug the hell out of you. Here are some exciting spots for tourists visiting South India you should visit when you are in India. Here we see those spots which will appeal to those who indulge in danger.

Magnetic hill in Ladakh
One of the most mysterious tourist spots in North India is the magnetic hill in Ladakh. Situated in the region of the Himalayas in North India, this magnetic hill causes vehicles to run uphill! Any vehicle parked without brakes on the slopes of the hill does not go downhill but begins to move up the hill (to fetch a...) at speeds of 20 kmph.

Bangarth Fort
Every place in the world has one or two quaint corners filled with mystery and intrigue. Bangarth Fort is located 300 Km from Delhi, North India. Paranormal activity is reported in this mysterious tourist spot. Said to have been cursed by a jilted sage Balanath, tourists who overstay their welcome after dark...are never seen again.

Suicide phenomenon among birds Jatinga
In the small village of Jatinga in North India, during the months of September—October, a curious phenomenon can be observed. Migratory birds crossing into the village just drop dead. This is more so during moonless night and after 6 pm. If you plan to visit this mysterious tourist spot of North India...you better not be a migratory bird!

Go and sleep

So if you have plenty of time on your hands...you should explore. (There is a serious debate whether you can call these people who indulge in such activities as pastime activists – the debate goes on. Half of the old people who indulge in sleep as a pastime activity insist that the babies also be included in the list). Go around and look at the dark corners in the neighborhood after 9 PM (you don’t have to be in North India to do this) and make reports as you go along to uncover your mysteries. At least they will find these reports and figure out what transpired...when you are gone.

You have covered North India from many angles, thanks Snerfu.

Travel is indeed an adventure especially in India and that makes it doubly interesting and worth remembering, or rather gets etched in our memory! siva

Remember the times when horse carts and bullock carts ruled the roads. People with cycles were kings!
But I guess the cows and horses must be happy that we don't hitch them to the carts anymore. They hate getting Hitched.

Yes Snerfu, I remember how the bullock cart driver had a mean whip and when the animals were struggling he used to whip them!

We have not been kind to our fellow travelers - and that is an understatement! siva

You should check the north. South is too hot and dry. Also, avoid tourist season. You will not see anything.
