The American south has both the heart of a nation and the scars to bear for its discrepancies. Truly nothing feels better than home and these old-fashioned values define this region and it's fascinating culture, it may not be for everyone but no-one its prouder and more loyal to their heritage. For that you can have nothing but admiration.

An open highway on a clear summer's night may seem a lonely, deserted and ominously hazardous place. It's essence is in the entirety it embodies. Rolling along with chivalry and a respectful hesitation, towns and cities of the south of America lazily stroll past your car window. So many call it home, but they are always looking for new residents; the sporadically dotted civilizations give both the promise of a flow of new life and the romance of a venture into the unknown.

Where we dare

The south is a place embroiled in history that still proudly shows off its culture without a second thought. It is one of the few places that still retains a fairytale innocence, a life contained within the realms of its own shadows; America is global but you can still feel the youthful hope riding on the buzz of tomorrow, knowing that there is something out there to be discovered. It is this optimism that curtails any bad feeling towards the south; it has troubles like all places but it will never lose it's belief, never betray it's past, and never truly exit that lonely highway.

What a lyrical prose. I enjoyed how you wrote. Would love to go to the south especially on Route 66; one of these days.
