Lose yourself in Venice!

Venice is a city where you can "lose" along its streets, bridges and canals. Charming town is perfect for the most passionate and romantic.

The main references for a tourist who arrives for the first time at Venice is: the Grand Canal, San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge: these are the three most popular postcards. If by chance you "lose" there (and it will happen), follow the signs that there are almost everywhere: per Rialto or per San Marco.

The Rialto Bridge is the most famous bridge in Venice. It was built between 1588 and 1591, being one of the three bridges that cross the Grand Canal, making the connection between the districts of San Marco and San Polo. If you want to take one of those classic photos, this is where you should do! Every day from 9am às12pm there is the Rialto Market on the side of San Polo, in the Field of Fishery. Avails and dazzles you with the views!
The Piazza San Marco was built in the ninth century, and is the heart of Venice, where to go all visitors. Being one of the lowest points of the city, when the waters rise, is one of the first places to be flooded. In her surroundings are some of the main attractions, such as the Basilica di San Marco, the Palazzo Ducale, Museo Correr, the Campanile and Torre dei Fiori.

The Basíliaca di San Marco was built in the ninth century to guard the body of San Marco (which is under the altar). Admission is free, but if you want to visit the Pala d'Oro you will have to pay 2€; if you want to see the Tesoro della Basilica you will pay 3€, or per if you prefer visit the museum the ticket price is 4€. The Basilica is open every day from 9:45 am to 5pm and Sundays from 2 pm to 4pm. It is not allowed to enter with backpack and legs and shoulders out.

The Ducal Palace served as the official residence for the dukes of Venice, in addition to prison and government headquarters. Located next to the Basilica di San Marco, is open every day from 9am to 6pm. The ticket price is 16€. During the visit you can cross the Bridge of Sighs that connected the palace to the prison and was the only place where the prisoners could see the sunlight! It is an unmissable visit!

The Museo Correr is considered the most important museum in the city, views regarding the history of Venice. It is open every day from 9am to 5pm (until 7pm in summer), and the ticket price is 16 € (the same ticket entitles you to visit the archaeological museum).
The Accademia Gallery contains the largest collection of Venetian art and is one of the most important museums in the world. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 8:15 am to 7.15pm and Mondays from 8:15 am to 2 pm. The ticket price is 6.50€. If you really want to visit it is indicated schedule by the internet to avoid the queues, especially in the summer, holidays and weekends.
If you want to visit a stuffed museum of modern works, which belonged to American millionaire Peggy Guggenheim, this will be an opportunity. The Peggy Guggenheim museum Colezzione is housed in a palace that served as the residence of Peggy for 30 year. Open every day from 10am to 6pm (except on Tuesdays). The ticket price is 12€.
