Keys factors to keep in mind and the recommended part while travelling to U.A.E(Abu Dhabi/Dubai)

Dubai Life

To people travelling to Dubai, this is the best part of the country to live and enjoy the traditions of the U.A.E. An excellent blend of modern and traditional styles of living entertainments ranging from Beach parties, Big Bus City tour, Desert Safari, experiencing the world’s most luxurious hotel, Burj Al Arab, excellent water theme parks, Ice Skating at Dubai Mall, Dubai Museum, Golf, Horse Race, Exhibitions, excellent nightlife, good quality gold purchases, Ramadan Tent(During Ramadan fasting season).

Dubai Shopping festival is well celebrated in Dubai happening during the month of January every year and there are tourist flocking in large numbers from all over the world. The worlds tallest building exist in Dubai named 'Burj Khalifa'.

Look out!!

Dubai is the place for people looking for jobs from all over the world even after the effects of credit crunch. The crime rate here in the country is considered minimal and the staffs at the policing and security are friendly and well approachable. It’s interesting to know that though each state/emirates are part of the UAE but has few variable laws overall. Hence, what’s permitted in Dubai may not be in Abu Dhabi or any other emirate/state.
While booking hotel rooms, it’s always recommended to go through trusted websites or agencies as the local agents may charge you higher rates compared. Consider which period you plan to visit UAE as temperatures soar during summer periods. It is recommended to visit UAE during winter season when you have seasonal activities available like the shopping festival. Arabic is considered to the official language but English is widely spoken and you would not need a translator if you speak English (other than for preparing any government applications. The local currency is UAE Dirham which is USD 3.68 variable. If you plan to drive, Dubai roads are considered to be well structured compared to other emirates, roads are monitored using radar systems and license is a must to ride any vehicle.

To be aware of..!!!

Things you need to be alert are,

The dress code in Dubai is much relaxed compared to other emirates. For example you may wear shorts in public in Dubai whereas not in Sharjah!
If you are in UAE during the period of Ramadan, eating/drinking in public or even munching in open is not permitted. No alcohol is available during this period for public.
Narcotic drugs are illegal like in any other middleeast country with harsh penalties.
Show of public affection is an offence and can land you behind bars!!
It is an offence to live with the opposite sex without any legitimate relationship. I would say this may be much relaxed.
Unlike in other countries, while driving, if you are pulled over by traffic police, you are responsible to come out of the car to show related documents!!
Overall, never do anything that can harm or cause difficulty to the people. If is a nice place to live or travel as long as these points are considered.
