I recently stayed at Lavender Cottage in Norfolk, and will be sure to return. Read on to find out why.

Lavender Cottage is right up my Street

The village of Brook, in Norfolk, is renowned for its duck pond. It is situated right in the middle of the village, and all visitors show great respect to the ducks, as it is not unknown for them to waddle into the road whilst you are driving past. Nestling in the middle of a terrace of 3 cottages, in a quiet street, is Lavender Cottage.

It dates back to approximately the 17th century, but has been sympathetically restored by its owners. The lounge with its wooden beams has a cosy gas fire, as well as a radiator, the sofas are comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in there at night, drinking our wine, which came courtesy of the owner, and watching television, after a very satisfying day exploring the area. We had found a footpath, which our dog thoroughly enjoyed exploring. It lled down to a beautiful lake, which we discovered
quite by chance.

Our amentities were

It was very private and secluded, and we could not hear anything from our neighbours. The bed was so comfortable, and the bath water was very hot. There was also a shower if you preferred it. The kitchen was a good size, and equipped with all the necessary things for a holiday, ie cooker, fridge, microwave, and washing machine. There was even a dish washer.

The owners had made special touches by providing us with milk, tea, coffee, and sugar for our arrival. The cleaning products were all Eco friendly, and the cottage was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated.

The little breakfast room where we ate , overlooked the garden, which is at the front. This had a gate, so was safe for our dog to wander about in. He slept in his basket in the kitchen, so it was just like at home. In fact, the reason I enjoyed staying in this cottage so much was, it was just like home, and you can’t ask for anything more than that.
