This is a poem I wrote during my yearly vacation to Myrtle Beach, in South Carolina.

Joys of the Beach

This is a poem I'd like to share that I wrote one evening during my vacation.
It's titled "Joys of the Beach"

I sit on the sands of the beach
Crouched in a small blue chair
Looking out across the ocean
Feeling the brisk night air.

I hear the waves crashing
I see the red of the skies
There's folks lined on the pier
And just a few passersby.

There's a rainbow to be seen
With perfect colors to show
Famies enjoying a vacation
With small children in tow.

I don't enjoy the chilled air of the eve
But the beach is my favorite place
Just sitting here watching the waters
Creates an amazing, calming peace.
