The Valley Fields is located in the Menomonee Valley in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at 1818 W. Canal Street which is located across the street from Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. The operator of the stadium is Marquette University. The stadium is a 1,600 seat open air field which is also used as practice field. The stadium covers 13.5 acres of land.

About The Stadium

Valley Fields was opened in the 1993 as a soccer stadium. It is primarily used by Marquette University men's and women's soccer and lacrosse teams. Since it's opening, the stadium had made some renovations. One of the things that they did was added a Field Turf facility that was constructed just east of the soccer stadium. With the new facility gives an added benifit of both the men's and women's soccer teams of practicing on campas adjacent to the playing surface. The Field Turf surface was completed on time prior to the 2006 season. Another thing that was recently done to the stadium was the natural grass playing was revamped and with addition of windscreens lining to the entire of the north and east side of the field.

All the renovations to the stadium was completed in March of 2014, which includes with new seating and a press box.

Shimek Track And Field Facility

Adjceny to the Valley Fields is a Shimek Track and Field Facility which has the following features a lighting system, fgirst aid and vending areas and a high tech system. The track and field complex has eight lane, 400 meter track, an area for long jump, pole vault, discus, shot put and javelin.

The Name And Use

The name of Valley Fields stadium is named for its location in the Menomonee Valley and the stadium is also located south of the main Marquette University campus.

Besides the stadium use by NCAA teams, Valley Fields hosts intramural and club competitions and is also open for the students of Marquette for general outdoor recreation.
