No matter what your age, you will find much to love about Hersheypark. The aroma of chocolate permeates the entire park and invites you to purchase candy in Chocolate World.

Hersheypark, Pennsylvania - a Great Place to Vacation

Through our timeshare, our family is able to visit Hersheypark, Pennsylvania bringing together grandmother, children and grandchildren for a four-day stay at a reasonable cost. We are in the process of planning our trip which will probably take place once the children's school year has ended.

This will be my second visit to Hersheypark, but my children and grandchildren have been there more often. The hotel accommodations are superb and the activities for everyone are varied and fun. Because it is within driving distance for all participants, it has become a favorite gathering place.

The Suites at Hershey is our destination accommodation. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub will usually beckon us as soon as we arrive. The kids can also entertain themselves at the playground and game room, playing the arcade games, while the adults can take advantage of the fitness center and the basketball court. The Suites are close to all the attractions - particularly Hersheypark and Zooamerica - as well as restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The aroma of chocolate is never very far away and a train ride through Chocolate World is a must-do event on each visit, ending with a stroll through the Gift Shop for chocolate souvenirs.

The theme park, known as Hersheypark, is over 110 acres in size and has over 60 rides and attractions. It has been in existence since 1907, four years after Milton Hershey founded the Hershey Chocolate Company. The streetlights in Hershey are shaped like silver-wrapped Hershey Kisses. There are rides for the little ones as well as more advanced rides for the teenagers, so we separate so that all the kids are able to take advantage of the time we have allotted for rides. We plan this year also to visit Zooamerica which I have not yet experienced.

Your ticket to Hersheypark allows you to visit Zooamerica free of charge on the day you visit the park. There are over 200 animals housed in Zooamerica. Alligators, crocodiles, black bears, snakes, barn owls, grey wolf, reindeer, otter, and tarantulas are on display and are well cared for.

Planning for a trip is almost as much fun as the trip itself. Writing about Hershey has made me eager to experience it again. We so look forward to having the family together for a few days' enjoyment.
