This page describes a great way to pass the time while driving down some of australias most boring motorways.

Car cricket

Car cricket is a simple game that you and your mates can play while driving in any roadway. To play you need to know these following rules: 1 run if you pass a white car, 2 if you pass a blue car, 3 if you pass a black 4 if you pass a purple car, 5 if you pass a green car and 6 if you pass a yellow car, but if you pass a red car you are out. The game starts with the driver in then the driver picks who goes next then the person who the driver picked get to choose the next. once everone has had a go then count up the scores and the person with the most runs wins.

We used a different system on our roadtrips:

1 Run: Normal car (sedan, hatchback, etc)
2 Runs: 4WD or large work utes
3 Runs: Small bus or truck
(A trailer adds 1 run 'overthrow' to any of the above)
4 Runs: Normal Semi-Trailer or tour-size bus
6 Runs: B-Double Truck
Out! (next person's turn): Red Vehicle

Simple system, bigger size = more runs. Works best on highways with varying types of traffic.
