For Christians there are a variety of services held at local churches. However, why not consider visiting some of Britain’s most famous churches and cathedrals over the Easter season? In this respect, the majestic St Paul’s cathedral in London is certainly one of the most recommended destinations in Britain. St Pauls is the largest cathedral in the United Kingdom, and one of London’s tallest buildings as the dome of St Pauls rises some 365 ft. As such, St Pauls is always great to visit, and during the Easter has its own variety of Easter services. For further details visit the St Paul’s website.

Easter egg hunts are also held at various venues in London over the Easter weekend. For example, consider visiting the Red House, Fenton House, Ham House, and Battersea Park which all host their own Easter egg hunts over the Easter weekend.

Elsewhere, Canterbury cathedral in Kent is also one of Britain’s most famous cathedrals. This is the cathedral of the Archbishop of Canterbury who heads the Church of England. Like St Pauls it is an impressive cathedral which rises up to 265 ft, and is a UNESCO heritage site. As such, many visit this cathedral, especially over the Easter season when a variety of lectures are provided by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

However, if you would prefer to visit a UK holiday resort in Easter then Butlins is well worth considering. Butlins is a well-established resort for seasonal holidays, with various resorts located at holiday hotspots such as Bognor, Minehead and Skegness. The resorts include Skyline Pavilions, splash water-world, varied entertainment, and are located by the beach. During the Easter thousands of Christians also visit Butlins parks such as Minehead and Skegness for the annual Spring Harvest which is held there. As such, the Easter weekend is a good time to visit.

These are a few of the best ways to spend Easter in Britain. Britain’s most famous cathedrals such as Canterbury cathedral and St Pauls hold a variety of Easter services over the weekend, and are great cathedrals to visit. In addition to this, Easter egg hunts at various venues in London and Spring Harvest at Butlins are also great destinations for an Easter weekend break.
