Hotel Review

Recently team Connor headed off on a mini adventure in our home city of Bristol and stayed the night at the Aztec hotel and spa, which is located at Aztec west.
From the moment you step into the Aztec hotel and spa you are made to feel extremely welcome, which when travelling with children is fantastic. Sadly we have had the misfortune of staying at several hotels that were not very child friendly should I say, but thankfully the Aztec hotel and spa is very child friendly, in fact it is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at from the view point of travelling with kids.

The good impressions did not stop at the reception, as so often happens with British hotels. Every area of the hotel we visited was warm and welcoming, with helpful and happy staff always there to help with anything we needed.

Our room for the night was huge as during the week it is a meeting room/guest room and then at weekends it is transformed into a spacious family room. As every parent will know the more room you have when travelling with a family the better and this was easily the best standard family room I have ever stayed in. All rooms come with nice fluffy bath robes and they even have child sized ones for the kids.

Another really nice touch for those travelling with little ones is the free milk and cookies delivered at bed time. Sophie and Lily each had a huge cookie with their name on and a nice big glass of milk, which they both really enjoyed before settling down for a good nights sleep.

On the amenity front the Aztec hotel and spa has a lovely pool with little slash pool for toddlers and babies. There is also a sauna, steam room and hot tube in the pool area, with the gym and fitness studio located adjacent to the changing rooms. On weekends the hotel turns on of the rooms into a film room for the kids, which we thought was a really nice touch.

On the food front I am only able to comment on the breakfast offerings as we went out for dinner, but breakfast was a fantastic affair with lots of fresh and tasty things to choose from. If the other meals offered by the Aztec hotel and spa are to the same standard as breakfast you will not be disappointed.

All in all we were massively impressed with every aspect of our stay at the Aztec hotel and spa. The service and atmosphere were five star, the rooms were comfortable and very spacious, while the food was delicious and the facilities top notch. I really can not recommend this hotel highly enough and we will definitely be heading back in the future for another adventure.
