A look at the historic Birchwood Inn, Lenox, Massachusetts

Located in the small town of Lenox in the beautiful state of Massachusetts is the stunning Birchwood Inn. Each season gives you exquisite scenery and there are numerous seasonal activities for you to participate in.

During autumn, the grounds foliage burst in warm colours; in the winter the grounds are blanketed in a sheet of pure white snow; the blossoms burst into bloom in the spring and during the summer you can relax and watch the fireflies hover around in the twilight. No matter when you come here, you will find the grounds truly spectacular throughout the year.

You will receive a warm welcome when you arrive at the wonderful and historic Birchwood Inn. With a friendly smile, a wag of the tail and the aroma of home cooked fresh food, you will not be disappointed.

The rooms at the Birchwood Inn are all named after the former owners of the inn. They all date back to 1767 and give you that authentic historic feel to them whilst still having all the modern amenities. Each room is fully air conditioned, has a private bathroom, fresh sheets, complimentary toiletries, hairdryers and telephones.

The Dana Room has a lovely romantic four poster king-sized bed, perfect when you are spending a few days away with someone that you love. Some famous authors have stayed in the Dana Room.

If you are looking for fantastic food, then look no further. The Birchwood Inn’s menu has been voted ‘Best Breakfast in New England’, emphasising the high quality of their menu. Start your day by eating your freshly prepared breakfast in a beautiful 19th century dining room. Breakfast generally begins at 9am but in the summer this can be earlier. Fresh tea and coffee are available from 7.45am for the early risers.

As soon as you sit down, you are greeted with a fresh cup of tea, coffee or orange juice. The breads presented are freshly baked and you can start your breakfast with some juicy fruit, before being presented with a delicious hot entrée to see you through the morning.

The Birchwood Inn has a great pet policy. Guests can bring their own pets with them to stay as long as they are well behaved. However, please be aware that the owners will only allow two dogs at the inn at the same time.

The Birchwood Inn is a wonderful guesthouse to stay in when visiting Massachusetts. Historic, refreshing and extremely friendly, you will not be disappointed.
