4 Smart Ways to Save on International Mobile Roaming Bill

International Roaming mobile bill is one of the biggest pain points of any traveller. Imagine having spent a lovely vacation with your beloved, and on returning you are slapped with a mobile bill of 1000 USD. I am sure all your sweet memories will be ruined. So why not use your mobile wisely to get rid of bill shocks. The following tips will surely help you save some dollars on your mobile roaming the next time you plan for a vacation:

Use Free Apps like Skype, Viber, and WhatsApp etc.

Apps like Skype & WhatsApp will be of great value if you are in a Wifi area. App to App calling is free, so if your contacts are on the similar platform, you can have some extended conversation with them without worrying about your mobile bills.

Buy a Local SIM Card of the Visiting Country

Easily available at the airport or any retail outlets, these SIM cards can be availed with minimum documentation. However, compare the packages before purchasing one. 1 GB data along with a bunch of free calls can be a preferred option. Data enabled SIM will allow you to do petty work like check email or browse social media sites. Local SIM cards are useful but remember, the person calling you needs to pay ISD charges and also you may need to communicate your new number to everyone.

Get a Travel SIM Card before Starting your Journey

Travel SIM cards are offered by many companies and these can be availed even before you start your trip. These SIM cards comes in different packages and can be used in multiple countries. Carrying a UK or US phone number, these SIM cards offers mostly free incoming.

International Mobile Roaming Apps

A few international roaming apps are seen floating the market. I remember one of those by the name of Ajura. This app allows users to save up to 90% on their international mobile roaming bill. Uniqueness of this app is that you need can receive calls on your home country mobile number. Hence, you need not communicate any new number to anyone. Once downloaded, you can receive the calls directed to your home country mobile number on the app if connected to WiFi or on your local SIM if you are not connected to data. You can check the site www.ajura.com if you want more info.

Hope these above tips will be your money saver next time when you go for a vacation abroad.

WhatSim has now evolved and it is called ChatSim Unlimited. The name isn't the only thing that has changed. Now you can use many more apps, such as Facebook Messenger, WeChat, Telegram, BBM, Line, Kik, Hike, Kakao, and QQi. ChatSim has an automatic firewall that is able to block unwanted data traffic up to 90%. ChatSim works with 4G technology so that you can enjoy a faster connection. simplyoj ... Thanks for your comment, yes facebook messenger is good way but you must try roaming apps. These apps allow you to receive calls on your home country mobile number at very low rate.
