The beauty of Mount Abu.

Mount Abu is one of the brilliant tourist destinations of Rajasthan. As the state is best known for the Thar desert, a mountain with cooler climate is a kind of oasis in a desert.

Location.

Mount Abu is situated in Sirohi District of Rajasthan, with its highest peak being Guru Shikhar which is situated at an altitude of 5650 feet above sea level. It is around 250 km away from the city of Jodhpur.

Height.

The height of Mount Abu is 4000 feet above sea level. During the winter months the temperature come down to 2 degree centigrade.

Nakki Lake.

Nakki Lake is a popular tourist destination. The lake is situated at the middle of the mountain. There is temple built in a rock within the lake.

Visitors who go in boats to visit Nakki lake get a scope to visit the temple in a rock at the middle of the lake. According to mythology the lake was created by nail, so it was named Nakki lake.

The water

The water remains filled in Nakki Lake during monsoon and winter. The water level decreases during summer.

Dilwara Temple.

Dilwara Temple is one of the tourist attractions. Photography is prohibited. The sculptures of Jain tirthankars are visible within the temple.

Brahmakumari University.

Mount Abu is famous for Bhrahma Kumari Spiritual University. The University is famous all over the world.

Garden with University.

The gardens within Brahmakumari University are very well maintained. Flowers are maintained within the gardens. If flowers are plucked visitors are fined.

Spiritual Lectures

Spiritual Lectures are held at every hour within the University. Visitors are free to hear them. Visitors are called in groups and given sermons.

The location

The Location of the Brahmakumari Peace Park is very unique. An artificial shiblinga is also created there.

Peace University.

Brahmakumari Ashram is also considered to be peace University. Visitors find peace through the sermons given in the ashram.

Hotels

There are many hotels which cater to the needs of tourists in Mount Abu. Among them Polo View hotel is a nice hotel having good ambience.

As Mount Abu is a popular tourist destination, hotels are situated in a row. It can be viewed both from balcony of Polo View and also the roof.

Sunset

The sunset in Mount Abu is a treat for the eyes. The colour of the sun at the time of dusk is seen across the number of mountain ranges.

Photography.

Visitors from India and abroad take photographs of the sunset. Watching the sunset in Mount Abu is a lifetime experience.

Visitors should visit it once in their lifetime.

Visitors should visit Mount Abu once in their lifetime. Mountains are present in Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal and other states. But the beauty of Mount Abu is a bit different.

Dear Madanji, thanks for your patient reading. As Mount Abu is not situated in UP or Himachal Pradesh, there is not much publicity about the place. But it is a very romantic tourist place.
