The Place to be in Tuscany

Castello di Leonina Lerais is a real haven that is sure to make memorable your vacation in Italy. Located in the heart of Tuscany, this bewitchingly beautiful structure is right in the center of the renowned “crete”, a site to behold in Tuscany. The 13th century fortress is bordered by Asciano and Siena. After its latter glory was restored, in 2003, the hotel has since boasted such tranquility that only those on holiday could hunger for. That's right; it’s a couple of miles away from the usual city hassles. My boyfriend and I especially enjoyed the peace.

But the particular attention to detail that the hotel commands (and quality service alike), is what thrilled our experience more. As well, at our disposal was that “little extra something”, which undoubtedly was an added value to our stay.

That’s not all. The rooms and suites are styled in classic Tuscan, and they are laden with ultra-modern facilities. Each of the 21 rooms is extraordinarily furnished; in fact, our suite did contain a fireplace. But what was cooler is that we got to enjoy a panoramic view of the Siennese countryside – the rolling hills and the landscape of “crete” – from the comfort of our room’s terrace. This did make up, at least, for the sucking noise of the birds that kept jumping on the structure’s roof-top in the wee morning hours.

As for the meals, they truly were delicious. The castle does command a top-notch cuisine (courtesy of ancient recipes of Tuscany). Organic meals are no exception, either. On the same token, we got to experience the best of Tuscan wines, thanks to the terrific wine cellar.

Other extras did include the outdoor swimming pool, which seemed to be quite a trek up some hill, unfortunately. Otherwise, the Turkish bath, inclusive of the aromatherapy shower did make up for this. The massages did count, too; (I particularly enjoyed the anti-stress type).

This certainly is the place to stay while in Tuscany.
