The Anthropological museum is very significant.
The Anthropological museum in Port Blair is a great museum which displays the history of different tribes who had inhabited the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. If visitors fail to visit this museum, they have not seen Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Evolution of tribes in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Inside the museum, the evolution of different tribes within the island had been described by pictures. The tribes whose development had been projected the most included Jarowas and Ongils. The different photographs of the tribes evolving at different times of history had been preserved chronologically.
Nicobarese huts.
There are artificially created Nicobarese Huts within the museum. The great part is the explanation given as to how intelligent were the indigenous tribes to built huts with produces of palm trees and other vegetation which were available in the remote part of the world.
Weapons
The great weapon used by the indigenous tribes had been preserved in glass cases. Most of the weapons in the form of bows, arrows, knifes were created from wood and plant produces. The great observation skills of the tribes are reflected from these works.
Relationship with Europeans.
The relationship of the Europeans with the Jarowas 200 years ago had also been shown through pictures. The Europeans including the British, the Danish and others learned the language of the tribes used their skills to first stay in the islands. Later they brought the soldiers from their native lands for law and order suppression. The ticket fares are nominal inside the museum.
Present scenario
Presently most of the tribes of Andaman and Nicobar Islands had developed. Even the jarowas staying in Baratang Island are regularly contacted by the Government and they were clothes and live a much developed life than 30 years ago.
The shape of the building.
The shape of the building of Anthropological museum is also very unique. Construction activities are presently going on within the museum.

The museum had portrayed the intelligence of the indigenous tribes who did not learn professional education but observed things from nature and used natural resources to sustain in the islands.

Islands in Andaman are very diverse including Baratang Island, Mayabunder, Havelock Island, etc. The diversity had been exhibited in the museum.
