A girls trip to British Columbia, Canada involved a visit to a local farm. We were so keen to ride the train, we were the first ones aboard!
Toot Toot!
What a quaint little farm we saw! Davidson's Orchard has a market where you can buy:
jams
jellies
pies
cookies
fruit
vegetables
They have a cafe for lunch including free pressed apple juice. They do farm fresh sandwiches, muffins, coffees and all kinds of goodies.
There is a playground made of old tractor parts and tires, excellent for kiddies!
It was a wonderful excursion. And despite being older than most of the other train riders (I think it's for kids and families, traditionally) we had a blast!
The train takes you on a tour of the apple orchards. And past fields of other produce they grow there. They have over 21 varities of apples! Many of which we sampled..yum! My favourite were the Honey Crisp. Mmmmm!
Our little group was my sister, my best friend from Uni and a colleage from Australia.

I live in Alberta, always looking for fun tourist places to go. So far Sicamous area in BC has earned lots of tourism points from me.
