A memorable day, July 7th, 2012, Marshall left Gatwick at 10:00 AM,
Bound for my home in Houston, Texas, his arrival awaited by his Nan.
Now ready to come to live with me, I felt so full of pride and blessed
Now I could stand down, off guard, and take a long awaited rest.
My Grandson is Here!
He will pray with me and then stay with me as I go to my resting place
With our Lord whose grand design has placed my grandson here.
Our time together is treasured, our Lord gives us strength from above.
I know I will live my life in peace and joy, with everlasting love.
Before my eyes, over the years, Marshall has grown from a baby to a man.
I went with him to his nursery school, I watched him in a school play.
He sometimes came to visit me and I heard him talk of his many plans
Never knowing there would come the day when I would need his helping hands.
Marshall At Home!
He walks with me, he talks with me, he drives my car and cooks,
He uses the vacuum cleaner and takes Pogo for an outing every day.
He has mended a hole in some sheetrock and even takes an unwanted call
He offers me a snack and tells me not to hurry in case I trip and fall.
He will accompany me to the hospital and listen to news good or bad
He will take it 'on the chin' with me and we will celebrate either way
Days are precious, not one will pass, without our thanks and prayers
The Lord has blessed me with the gift of a grandson who really cares.
As Time Goes By.
Days will pass, seasons change, days savored but never numbered
Time now precious, so much to realize, and be remembered.
My grandson is aware, he accepts and fully comprehends
Life will go on but I will be safe and at peace in our Lord's hands.
Days turn into nights, nights into days, our path sometimes unseen
But we will meet again for we will be blessed, together in our Father's home
I know Marshall will always be with me when I have passed away
And I will be with him, in his heart, as in a lingering, soulful song.
Marshall on One of His Visits.
But now he us here to stay!
Note from Author Ivyevelyn.
Marshall is very evasive about photographs and this is the only one I could find until he opens up all his suitcases.
