Maldives
Everything was beautiful, alarmingly beautiful
Up above hung the pure whites
Shades of blue on a horizon they blend
Like a painting.
Shut my eyes, inhaled, beamed
All so soothing, calming, relaxing
The rhythmic waves, the subtle cooling breeze
The salty ocean air, the gentle dissolving sands
Ah, a paradise.
The ocean water kisses my feet as I inched forward
Their curling fingers inviting me
Come, have a dip
I looked over my shoulders and there
I see my lover.
Ah, that’s why I am in paradise.
