To be aware of..!!!
Things you need to be alert are,
The dress code in Dubai is much relaxed compared to other emirates. For example you may wear shorts in public in Dubai whereas not in Sharjah!
If you are in UAE during the period of Ramadan, eating/drinking in public or even munching in open is not permitted. No alcohol is available during this period for public.
Narcotic drugs are illegal like in any other middleeast country with harsh penalties.
Show of public affection is an offence and can land you behind bars!!
It is an offence to live with the opposite sex without any legitimate relationship. I would say this may be much relaxed.
Unlike in other countries, while driving, if you are pulled over by traffic police, you are responsible to come out of the car to show related documents!!
Overall, never do anything that can harm or cause difficulty to the people. If is a nice place to live or travel as long as these points are considered.
