I live in Milwaukee all my life and enjoy my time here. There is always things to do here in all seasons. Milwaukee is fun and interesting and rich in history. I hope that if you do visit Milwaukee that you also find fun and interesting to be.

About Milwaukee

Milwaukee is one of the most secretive cities in the Midwest. With the city's population over 594,000 people, it is also one of the most mixes of different races in the country. This city is also know at one time as beer capital of the nation, with three major brewers making beer right here. The major brewers are Miller, Schlitz, and Blatz, in which Miller the only remaining major brewer that still make here in Milwaukee. There are micro breweries that making their presence known here and those are Sprecher, Lakefront Brewing Company, to name a few.

City of Festivals

Another name the city is proud of owning is being the "City of Festivals". The city hosts to the Wisconsin State Fair, which runs in early August and runs for 10 days. On the Henry W. Maier Festival Park (also known as the Summerfest grounds) is host to many of festivals starting with Summerfest which starts in late June to early July. Some of the other festivals that you can attend there is Festa Italiana, German Fest, Indian Summer, Irish Fest, Mexican Fiesta, Polish Fest, PrideFest, Labor Fest.

There has been more to festivals there but either disbanded or suspended for a short time but will be back to festival grounds in the future and those are African World Festival, Arab World Fest, Asian Moon Festival.

There are other festivals that are held around the city, like church festivals and others.

Sports in Milwaukee

There is plenty of sports here in the city for the sports fun here. Depends on what kind of sports you enjoy and like to attend. For the professional teams that play here The Milwaukee Brewers (baseball) play at Miller Park, the Milwaukee Bucks (basketball) play at the Bradley Center, the Milwaukee Admirals (hockey) also play at the Bradley Center, the Milwaukee Wave (indoor soccer) play at the U.S. Cellular Arena and the Mustangs (formally the Milwaukee Iron) play at the Bradley Center.

For the college sports fans there is few colleges that have sports. The follow is the list of schools that have sports: Marquette University (Golden Eagles) (basketball) and they play at the Bradley Center, University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (Panthers) (basketball) and play at the U.S. Cellular Arena.

Attractions in Milwaukee

There are lots of things to see in Milwaukee and if you are a resident of the area you know of the some great attraction that we have here in Milwaukee. Some of the attractions that the city has to offer are: Milwaukee County Zoo, Milwaukee Public Museum, Betty Brinn Museum, Discovery World, Mitchell Park Conservatory ( the Domes), Harly- Davidson Museum, The Safe House, plus a whole lot more.
