I'm going to Paris to visit my daughters, and I'm looking forward to it with eager anticipation
City of Light, Here I come
Thursday, May 3rd, I will be flying to Paris for a three-week stay with my two daughters, both of whom live there. Now, every time I mention that both my daughters live in Paris, I get an incredulous stare and the by now predictable response: "Both your daughters?"
This is the story: Tracey, my youngest, back when she was in college in California, spent a semester studying at the Sorbonne, and as many do, she fell in love with Paris. She also fell in love with a Parisian man and ended up marrying him. Tricia, just a year older than Tracey, after spending ten years in Taiwan teaching English to little kids and businessmen, decided in 2004 to leave Asia and spend some time traveling before coming back to America. She visited her sister in Paris for a planned summertime stay, and she, too, fell in love with a Parisian and ended up marrying him.
I'm going to meet my grandson
Just after the New Year my daughters called and surprised me one day by saying they were sending me an airline ticket to Paris to visit them, so off I go.
On April 20, 2010, Tricia gave birth to a son, William, and I am very eager to meet him - my first grandchild.
I have yet to visit Paris in my lifetime, so I am eagerly anticipating my daughters showing me the sights. I'll be gone for twenty-one days, and I'll miss my wikinut family, but - truth to tell - possibly not that much.

I had an opportunity to see Paris in 1995 when I assisted a Japanese friend on her trip there. We enjoyed the trip especially the flea markets. I guess you're very excited to fly now. Take care and have a good trip.

I went to Paris when I was in high school. You will love it.
There must be something special about the men there though huh?
I know it is soon, but it must also feel like a long way off, I know you will have an excellent time.

Enjoy your trip to Paris and spend time with your daughters and family... Your grandson William is adorable and am sure he will keep you on your toes... Age isn't a factor to be a granddad, my mum was a grandmum at 47, dad would have been 54 then.
Take care and have a safe journey, its a beautiful place but brush up your French...

Your grandson, William, is indeed beautiful. Your going there would seem to reprise Gene Kelly's role in the classic "An American in Paris." Have a great time of your life, dear friend. Enjoy yourself. Bon voyage!

Enjoy the moments, Steve, no one has earned it more than you! And bring back the memories to share with us - though I am not good at it! Then, leave a lasting impression on sweet William like only a grandad can do - don't they indulge grandkids more than dads? siva
