This is a review article about Virgin Atlantic Airlines. I have been a passenger three times with Virgin.

I have flew to New York and Florida with Virgin Atlantic Airlines. I thought it was a great experience. Virgin treat all their passengers with top notch hospitality. The flight was almost nine hour journey.

The Food

My friends and I were treated like first class passengers even though we were only sitting in the economy section. We were served with drinks to start with. You had a choice of having a alcoholic cocktail or a soft drink, so we all had the cocktail with a small savory snack that they give you. Later, we were served a starter and main course with either wine or any drink of your choice. We all had wine each and It was delicious. We were given a choice between two different menus, so I had chicken.

After dinner, they bring around the desert with hot chocolate if you want it. We all felt like we were in first class by this time. Of course, it was economy as the seating area is not as spacious as the upper class area, but if you do want a bit more room then you book it when it's time to check-in online.

Entertainment

We had television screens on the back of the seat in front of us that gave you a choice of around ten movies to watch. Television shows could be watched on them too and there were lots of games to play too. Virgin definitely like to keep you entertained throughout your journey, which I thought was excellent.

Whilst, watching a movie, the Virgin staff serve either an ice cream, pop corn or sweets for you to enjoy. On this flight, they gave us ice cream cones, which was really very nice. It started our holiday to New York off to a great start being on a Virgin flight. Virgin really do know how to look after their passengers.

Before the flight was due to land, we were served a tea box. This consisted of sweets, a savory snack and a hot drink of either tea or coffee before landing.

We were, also, given a goodie bag, which was a small wallet of things for the flight. This consisted of an eye shade, tooth brush, tooth paste, ear plugs, a pair of socks, a Virgin pen, a Virgin notebook, a mint sweet, a wet wipe and a change collection bag.

Is Flying with Virgin a Good Choice?

Our journey went very quickly, because we were entertained throughout it. We were not bored at all. Being on a Virgin flight was an incredible experience and we know we will never forget it. You can choose your seats before you go via check-in on the Virgin Atlantic Website. Plus you can pay for priority check-in, so you will get on the plane first before everyone else.

I can say that I would definitely recommend Virgin if flying long haul or if going to the United States. It is definitely worth paying extra for, as Virgin are sometimes a bit more expensive than other airlines. Of course, you cannot fault Virgin, so why not try flying with them next time you are planning a trip to the United States.

I rate Virgin Atlantic Airlines 9 out of 10.
