Darjeeling is famous for its aromatic tea gardens, which earned Darjeeling the international fame. The resultant distinctive Darjeeling tea is internationally recognised and ranks among the most popular of the black teas. It is full with its natural beauty.The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Darjeeling is an amazing destination for enjoying the pristine natural beauty. The town is having various tourist attractions. It is also one of the famous honeymoon destinations in India. Darjeeling is a Himalayan city now in the Indian state of West Bengal. Darjeeling was a part of Nepal but British took it from Nepal while it was ruling India. The town is located in the Mahabharat Range or Lesser Himalaya at an average elevation of 6,710 ft (2,050 m).

Flora and Fauna In Darjeeling
Darjeeling is a hot spot for Eco-tourism in India. One can sight a wide variety of animals and plants here. Darjeeling is a part of the Eastern Himalayan zoo-geographic zone. The fauna found in Darjeeling includes several species of ducks, teals, plovers and gulls that pass Darjeeling while migrating to and from Tibet. Small mammals found in the region include civets,mongooses and badgers. The nearby Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary consists of semi-evergreen and sal forests. Animals found here include the one-horned rhinoceros, elephant, tiger, leopard and hog deer, while the main bird species include the Bengal florican and herons. The flora here encompasses around 139 species of Rhododendrons, magnolia flowers in white, pink and magenta and orchids of different varieties.
Tiger Hill
Tiger Hill is a wonderful location in Darjeeling which offers breathtaking views of sunrise. It attracts tourists in large numbers, the Tiger hill is located at an elevation of 2590 m.
Tea Gardens
