Traveling to Capri is a wonderful experience. You take a ferry from the mainland and get off in the midst of a historic island.
Capri
While traveling t hrough Italy, I simply had to visit Capri. Not too far off the coast of Naples, Italy, Capri is a step back in history. Roman emperors had their huge estates and villas there - and no wonder! The views abound everywhere on this island in the sun. Emperor Nero and his family spent summers on Capri in their huge villa. You can see the remains of his villa and picture how it looked back in Nero's days.
Everyone has heard of The Blue Grotto - unfortunately I wasn't able to go into the grotto because of the rough seas. I was there in November but I'm sure if you travel there in the summer months the weather will be better for you.
The three sisters - three very large rocks off the coast of Capri, stand guard as they have for centuries. Capri is quite hilly so bring your walking shoes and enjoy. The tratories are abundant and offer wonderful, fresh and delicious food. The Italian wine, of course, is an additional pleasure for you to enjoy.
The bed and breakfasts are clean and offer wonderful hospitality to all visitors. I would definitely advise you to visit Capri and enjoy this beautiful island in the sun.
