The ambience of the airport is excellent. The Netaji Subhash Domestic Airport and the Netaji Subhash International Airport are adjacent to each other. Previously the airport used to be called Dum Dum Airport.

The security arrangement of the Netaji Subhash Airport is excellent. The Airport staff cooperate with the passengers during security check in of cargo luggage and cabin luggage.
The seating arrangement.
The seating arrangement of Netaji Subhash Domestic Airport is excellent. There is a waiting lounge in the ground floor. After the gate number is announced the passengers then go the waiting lounge upstairs according to the respective gate from where the boarding in takes place.
Spice Jet Airbus.
Passengers are taken to the Spice Jet flight in Spice Jet Airbus. The buses are red in colour bearing the symbol of Spice Jet which are used to carry the passengers from the Airport to the space in the Runway where the Flight is stationed.
The stairs.
There is an engine operated stair created near the Flight. Passengers climb on them to board the flight as the door is quite high.
The seats.
The seats inside the Spice Jet Flight are beautiful. There are generally 3 * 3 seating arrangements on both sides and a passage is there in the middle from where the air-hostesses travel.
The scenary.
The scenery from Spice Jet Flight is excellent. During bright sunny days the cirrus clouds have very beautiful presence which can be visible from the windows of the flights.
Bagdogra Airport
The Bagdogra Airport has a small runway. It is the only airport of North Bengal. Passengers who are destined to go to Nepal, Bhutan, other hills of North Bengal including Darjeeling, Kurseong, Kalimpong, Mirik, Lava, Lolegaon, Rishop, etc., are destined to drop at Bagdogra Airport.
