Seven day long Tulip flower festival held in Kashmir by the Department of Tourism near Dal lake to attract tourists from several parts of the country and including foreigners from other countries. Siraj Bagh is one of the biggest Tulip flower garden in Asia .Lot of Indians to go Holland to see Tulips, Now the Tulips are available to Indians at an affordable distance in India itself ,more than 12 thousand tourists visit the Siraj Bagh garden in these 7 days of the week, More than 3 laks of Tulip flowers ,and more than 60 varieties of multi colored Tulips are spread in the garden just like colorful saree/carpet on the earth. In the month of September, the Tulip plants are planted before the winter season, by the April month the Tulip plants are grown and spread all over the garden ,just like flower carpet on the earth. The Tulip flower festival belongs to states traditional art and culture, you cannot find any of these flowers in India other than Kashmir.
